Place of Possible originated by Sonay Kara while she was working in H&M. With a successful track record of high performance results during her 20-year-career with local and multinational companies, Sonay Kara has been involved in almost every aspect of product groups such as knits, flatknit, woven (lightwear and non-denim) and denim.
Her experience includes many prestigious and reputable companies such as Li&Fung, Mexx, Cherryfield Sesby and H&M. Her career is polished from US market Kohl’s towards Dutch brand Mexx, Tommy Hilfiger(EU), River Island (UK), Monsoon(UK), Top Shop(UK), Long Tall Sally(UK) and finally at H&M.
Her accomplishments are derived from her agile and autonomous way of working. Thinking differently, driving innovation, strong negotiation skills and highly developed communication skills flourished the business at utmost values. She believed that there is a need to invest continuously whatever time it takes to support and inspire others.
She managed a big whole team who grew country business volume and had a major impact therefore inspired the whole company to change the business structure completely by making things possible for both suppliers and buyers. She was called as ‘’super woman, polishing the rust and influencer’’ both in the company and in the market.
She conducted trainings on how to make things possible, how to speed up the process and how to make the best deals with her own innovative ideas and influencing methods.
In 2017, Sonay launched Pure Garment Agency, her own consulting and product development company. Pure specializes in consultancy, product development, technical support, raw fabric material sourcing and meticulous production follow-up in the factories.
